New Mexico requires 30 Professional Development Hours per biennium, of which at least two PDH must be on engineering ethics. New Mexico allows up to 15 PDH in excess of the 30 PDHs, with a maximum of two PDHs on engineering ethics, to be carried over to the next biennium.
New Mexico does not approve providers of continuing education or courses but retains the right of final approval for credit of all PDH activities. The rules allow law and rules courses from other jurisdictions to be used for PDH credit. However, rules and laws courses may not be used to satisfy ethics requirement.
