Course Objectives
The primary objective of this engineering continuing education course in Florida Law and Rules is to familiarize the student with the recent changes to the laws and rules regulating the practice of engineering in the state of Florida. The course will focus on changes to the laws and rules that have been implemented during the previous biennium.
Upon successful completion of the PDH course, the engineer will be well versed in all these changes and will have a better understanding of the disciplinary process.
- Rules of the Florida Board of Professional Engineers that were promulgated or repealed during the preceding biennium
- Rules of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation that were promulgated or repealed during the proceeding biennium
- Laws that were promulgated or repealed in Chapter 471, F.S., the Florida Engineer Licensure Law and Chapter 455, F.S. the Florida statute relating to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation during the proceeding biennium
