License Renewal for Professional Engineers in New Mexico is due December 31, 2024

The 2024 PE license renewal period for professional engineers in New Mexico is available, and PE licenses must be renewed by mail with a check or money order. The deadline for renewal is December 31, 2024.
Here are some requirements for renewing a professional engineer license in New Mexico:
- Renewal period: PE Licenses ending in an odd number must be renewed by December 31 of odd-numbered years, and PE licenses ending in an even number must be renewed by December 31 of even-numbered years.
- Continuing education: Professional Engineers must earn 30 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) every two years. At least two of those PDHs must be related to ethics. Engineers can carry over up to 15 PDHs to the next renewal period, except for ethics PDHs.
- Course content: PE PDH Courses must have a clear purpose and objective to improve or expand the NM professional engineer's knowledge and skills.
- Online courses: New Mexico Professional Engineers can earn an unlimited number of PDHs through online courses. The New Mexico State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers & Professional Surveyors accepts courses from pdhnow.com.
