API 510 570 653 Certified Inspectors CPD Recertification Requirements

Continuing Professional Development Hour Requirements and Courses for API Inspectors

Attention all API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspectors, API 570 Pressure Piping Inspectors, and API 653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspectors.  Starting on January 1, 2022, ICP implemented Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours as part of the recertification requirements for API 510, 570 and 653 certifications. There will be a phased approach to the requirements. For those whose certifications expire after January 1, 2025, you will be required to document 24 CPD hours at that time.

PDHNow is primarily focused on providing continuing education for Professional Engineer license renewal, however, all of our PDH and CPD courses can be used for API inspector certification renewal, with some direct application including Fundamentals of Welding Procedures, Mechanical Systems, and NDE Applied to Pressure Vessel Evaluations, as well as many others.  Many of these courese will also apply for AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification renewal continuing education requirements.
